dare to be different

Nested between the pristine white beaches of Tulum and the lush Mayan jungle lies Harmony Glamping Tulum.

Located on the grounds of the Green Beat Organic Permaculture Farm in the vibrant town of Tulum, Harmony offers the unique experience of glamping in a luxury bell tent without giving up the comforts of home, or sleeping in one of our 6 magnificent suite bedrooms with AC and private bathrooms, surrounded by  beautiful gardens and the sounds of nature.

Built with love, using eco-friendly materials and technology according to the green philosophy of glamping, our chic yet funky hotel offers a memorable, comfortable and unique experience for your stay in Tulum.

  • We built the Harmony hotel using sustainable materials such as dead wood harvested by Mayan communities, and  rock that we took from our own land. The perimeter fence is  made out of rammed earth, and even though some of our walls are made out of construction block, we used a Mayan technique made out of Sascab and sand to coat them.

  • All our beds and most of the furniture is made out of recycled pallets.

  • We applied bio climatic principles when building and orienting the house in a way to get the most sea breeze and northern winds possible in order to keep the rooms cooler and reduce the use of AC.

  • All our waste water (grey and black water) is treated through a bio digester that allows us to reuse the water for underground irrigation of our ornamental plants.

  • Additionally, we capture rainwater that is used in the garden.

  • We didn’t disturb or cut any mature tree in the building process. We also have many nitrogen fixing trees on site such as Salam, in order to help fertilize the soil naturally.

  • All our plants and garden are fertilized naturally by the use of worm castings and compost made at the Green Beat farm.

  • When needed, we fumigate with natural pesticides that don’t harm plants or the eco system.

  • Our garden has only native local plants.

  • We only use 100% natural and biodegradable soaps and shampoos in the Hotel.

  • We reduce, reuse, and recycle the most we can. We ask you kindly not to bring any plastic bags onto the property and to please use your towels more than once before sending them out to get washed.

Nestled between the pristine white beaches of the Mexican Caribbean and the lush jungle lies the enigmatic city of Tulum, one of the most exclusive destinations on the planet, with the most spectacular beaches on the Caribbean coast, many still practically untouched.

Tulum is divided into three different areas: the beach, the town and the archaeological site.

We are conveniently located in Tulum town, only 5 km away from the beach,  4 km from the archaeological site,  and a 4 min. walk from all the popular restaurants and cafés in town.

By Car: We are located on Km 227 of the main Cancun-Chetumal Highway.

From the Cancun Airport: Either take a “Taxi Colectivo” straight to Tulum or take the ADO bus to Playa del Carmen (departs every 45 minutes from Terminal 2). Once in Playa, take another ADO bus to Tulum.

From Tulum’s Central Bus Station: Either take a Taxi straight to the Hotel, or walk 8 blocks along the main Highway towards Chetumal until you get to KM 227. You will see our sign. Turn right and we are at the end of the block on the opposite corner from Hotel Don Diego de la Selva.

Chemuyil St., on Km 227 of the main Cancun-Chetumal Highway, Tulum, Quintana Roo, Mexico
