Xel-Ha

 

Nominated one of the 7 natural wonders of Mexico, a visit to the park of Xel Ha is a day of fun and relaxation among the flora and fauna of the Caribbean. Xel Ha has over 99 different marine species with colourful fish of all sizes and in the lush jungle surrounds you will find more than 230 different plants and flowers and more than 82 colourful species of birds.

 

Inside the park you have the chance to do some unforgettable snorkelling; visit the mysterious 'Mayan Cave'; bravely jump from the 'Rock of Courage'; or simply float along 'Lazy River' in giant inner tubes.

 

The entrance ticket is All Inclusive and gives to access to lockers, use of snorkel equipment and towels, as well as unlimited food and drink from the restaurants and snack bars throughout the park.

We recommend you take with you: hat or cap, sandals, bathing suit and towel, biodegradable sunscreen and insect repellent, extra money for shopping.

US$20 deposit necessary for the snorkel equipment.

 

Please note: This is an independent excursion and transportation to/from the park is not included. The cheapest way to arrive is by mini-van 'colectivo' which will drop you by the entrance to the park. The collective mini-vans pass along the highway in front of all the hotels and run from 8am to 9pm every 10 minutes. The journey costs 30 pesos or US$3 per person.
